Content Failed to Resolve
Question
Why doesn't Boxee always resolves my files and what can I do about it?
Answer
If you add your local content to the Boxee Box and can not locate it in the media library most likely Boxee failed to resolve it.
Failure to resolve content can be caused do to a couple of reasons:
Incorrect naming convention - Boxee requires a certain naming convention in order to resolve content, review this article about Naming Convention for more information
NFO File - nfo files are used to manually identify content, if one of this files exist in the folder with the movie Boxee will use the information from there.
What can I do resolve unidentified files?
There are a couple of steps that can be done in order to prevent this situation and resolve it:
Naming Conventions - Follow this article to verify that your files are name properly
NFO files - You can remove the NFO file or modify it to present the proper information, review this article for assistance.
The files doesn't excite in the data base - If it's a home movie we recommend to use NFO files to resolve it.
